Tips
The dinghy must be chosen according to your needs. First of all you have to see the capacity of the people transported in order to adjust to the size, then later choose the type of hull that adapts to your sea. Deep V hull inflatable boats sail well in choppy seas, while flat bottom inflatable boats are ideal for calm seas or lakes.
The limit of miles beyond which I cannot drive a dinghy is not established, neither for the size nor for the type of dinghy, but is established by the classification of the hull and above all for the on-board equipment. Usually for those who have a 7-meter dinghy, or for those who rent it, the maximum limit beyond which it cannot be crossed is 6 nautical miles.
Today, there are many people who, having their own boat or dinghy, decide to supplement their salary by renting their own boat, without having any requirement or authorization from the Harbor Master's Office. A serious Rental Company is required to sign a lease or rental agreement, as applicable, and to issue a tax receipt to be attached to the agreement. To find out if a company is duly authorized, just go to the Port Authority and ask if it is registered, or just check if the boat has an identification number and company data.
First of all, make sure that the boat is equipped with regular documentation and licenses and that it is equipped with all safety equipment.
